Setting Up The Next Big Meeting
The meeting I told you about yesterday went really well. Think of it as the Panama Canal. I have passed the first bassin, but there are still more bassins to pass, before I can say that I have made it through.
Next step is an even more important meeting with a very important guy. He has said that he’s interest in hearing what I have to say, and to be quite honest, what more can I hope for? It’s up to me now to kick it, where it needs to be kicked and give it everything I’ve got.

Important And Scary Meeting Today
I’m really psyched up. I have a very important meeting today. One of those meetings that could potentially lead to groundbreaking new things. It’s really exciting.
And it’s scary too. Don’t start thinking about messing it up. Because you’ll think about all the wasted opportunity that’s just flowing out of your hands faster than a tsunami. At least I will.
It’s time to clear my mind. I know my stuff. Let’s rock’n'roll!

Getting Really Organized
The other day I had an ephifamy: I need to get more organized.
I tend to get involved in way too many things, and it was starting to cloud my day. I didn’t know my A from my B or my C. So I sat down - and came up with a solution.
From now on I’m keeping a plan in OmniPlan. I transfer the tasks to my OmniFocus using the export feature to Omni Outliner. And voila! My day stops being a mess.
Only problem is that my calendar is now cluttered with tasks. Better get busy.

2008 Resolution #5: Cherish The Loved Ones
When everything is up and running, and there’s a lot of stuff waiting to be done, it’s so easy to forget the most important thing: Ones loved ones. Although I won’t say I ever forget, I think I could definately be more appreciative in action of the huge support I get in everything I do from my family in general and from Louise in particular.
Therefore the most important resolution for 2008 is to cherish my loved ones and especially Louise. She’s the vital component to everything I’m able to achieve.

2008 Resolution #4: Remember To Have Fun
Being an independent consultant is a huge privilege. You get to work with stuff you’re passionate about, and you more or less determine your own strategies, plan and projects. Well, of course the latter one has a dependency on paying clients, but I’m sure you get the drift.
But sometimes it’s hard too. And the tough times have a habit of overshadowing the good times. That’s why one of my resolutions for 2008 has got to be to remember to have fun and remember the fun times. It’s the petrol that keeps the passion for what I do burning. Remember that…

2008 Resolution #3: Be Tougher
I’m a nice guy. A lot of times too nice. And if there’s something that doesn’t pay (at least not immediately) in the consultancy business it’s being a nice guy.
I want to provide value to clients and partners, and I know I do just that. I know I can provide even more. Lots more. And I know that I should be better at capitalizing on that.
I will be all of the above in 2008.
