Testing my new iPhone

Today I got my new iPhone 3G. I’m super excited as I try to understand its potential.

This is a post from the iPhone. Seems a bit cumbersome

A bit disappointed by ‘The Dark Night’

Last night, Louise and I went to the local cinema to watch ‘The Dark Night’. I can’t recall a movie, I have looked forward to seeing so much as this (oh well, ‘Downfall’), so I was naturally exstatic, when the movie began.

Albeit the movie is good, I was a little disappointed. Perhaps that goes with unnatural high expectations? There were moments when sparks were flying from Heath Ledger, and we’re I was truly awed. But these were moments, where I was left craving for more. Christian Bale was top notch too, and I don’t doubt that both of them will be in the running for the Oscar’s

‘The Dark Night’ is good. But epic? No.

Great day

So far this special day has been great.

Met a prospective client at the train station this morning, and we agreed to talk some more next week.

Had a great initial meeting with a new business partner, where we got both going on our first project and secured all the paper work.

And tonight I’m going out with Louise to celebrate the first anniversay of my company.

What a great day!

Doped and stupid

A Danish mountainbiker has been withdrawn from the Olympic Team due to testing positive for use of doping.

There is only one thing more stupid than this being yet another cyclist, who gets caught for using illegal drugs. It’s the fact that in his civilian life, the athlete in question is a…student of medicine.

How stupid are you allowed to be?

Berlingske is losing me as a customer

For years I have subscribed to Berlingske Tidende. Yes, I like having a newspaper, and I thought that Berlingske was the one fitting the bill for what I’m interested in best.

But it all comes down to whether I can actually get it delivered to my home address. And here Berlingske have issues. Because I didn’t get it yesterday, and I haven’t got it today. And these are the days where I have time, and when Berlingske by great and relevant journalism could convince me to stay on board.

I can call an automated system and complain. But I want to complain to a human being. Tell them what a pain it is not to get a product, you have paid for. Maybe I should just use the automated system to cancel my subscription?

Finally some good Rovers news

It has been a tough few works for every Blackburn Rovers fan. First the cherished manager, Mark Hughes, left for Man City. Then Paul Ince was hired to replace him without having any management credentials from a top club or country. And then all of our players (so it seemed) started to get linked to all sorts of different clubs.

Yesterday, finally some good news though. Not only did Rovers win a friendly over Benfica in Portugal. More importantly, Ince made England goalkeeper Paul Robinson his first signing of the summer. Alas legend Brad Friedel is leaving the club, but all in all it’s a great trade and a steal for a proven goalkeeper who’s only 28 years old.

Here’s looking forward to some new quality signings to underline the newfound optimism.
