Today I spend a great day touring the surroundings of Nyborg. I was bent on finding places, where one can sit and do some serious thinking about projects of importance.

I biked around Slipshavn and Knudshoved, and I ended up at the lighthouses at Knudshoved, where there was a great view over the Great Belt, Langeland and Zealand. That is definately a place to hang out.

There is a skew towards pictures related to spring. Why? Because it’s the best time of year. Everything is so vibrant. So fresh. And so full of potential and hope.

I’m not much of a handyman myself, but I have to admit that when you get down to it, doing some practical stuff can actually be quite fun. At least that was the realization, I arrived at, when I spent the weekend replacing all the windows on the southside of my house.

This is from the first stage when the project still seemed rather easy.

Today my uncle died. He was a shipbuilding engineer and loved the sea. Just months ago he finished a tour on one of the biggest ships in the world. Now he’s gone. It’s so sad. But we will always remember him.

Today it was finally decent weather, so it was a real pleasure to take Skipper for his daily long walk.

We went to the harbour. There’s an area that’s not being used for anything, and at the same time it’s pretty secluded. So Skipper can be let loose there. And boy, does he enjoy it? I think he does.

Well, it’s winter. And since my birthday this year has now taken it’s place in history, I can officially say that I hate the rest of January. Apart from the birthday thing it’s mood- and weather-wise the crappiest month in the whole year.
