Liberal force

Personally I found it very amusing when political parties step up to do exactly the opposite of what their ideological background suggests. Like when a liberal government is more busy imposing rules and regulations than socialists ever were.

In Denmark the conservative minister for health, Jakob Axel Nielsen, wants to impose behavioural taxes on smoking, drinking and eating candy. It’s hard to argue that not doing those things will increase your chances of a healthy life, but still I’m wondering whether taxes is actually the right way to go?
