Capitalist communism?

Is it possible for a capitalist to behave in ways that are essentially equal to the way party bureaucrats behaved in the old Soviet Union. Yes, it is.

It struck me when reading this article on the inflated compensation levels for CEO’s. Ripping their rewards and then some while awarding little or next to nothing to the rank’n'file causes disillusionment among the latter to rise. And when that happens and is taken to the extreme, nobody can see a point in really taking responsibility for anything, and the whole corporate ecosystem turns into anarchy, chaos and mismanagement.

Because why bother when it doesn’t matter if you do or don’t?
